Canopy Project Kawartha Lakes was an initiative that started in 2019 and transformed this property. These volunteers set out to increase the trees planted in the urban areas of Kawartha Lakes. This site was their first project.
Contributions to BGC Kawarthas:
- $17,000 raised for the planting and maintenance of 70 trees and 30 blueberry bushes
- Invaluable opportunities for children and youth to learn about trees and the environment
- A lasting impact that will provide a healthier landscape for club kids and youth for years to come
