Coats For Kids

Our Coats For Kids donation drive has begun.

For those new to the cause, as we all know, winter is fast approaching now that summer’s over. That means gearing up to keep warm, and not every family can easily afford winterwear, especially with kids that keep growing every year.

That’s what Coats For Kids is about. If you or a friend or family member has a gently used coat or piece of winterwear (snowpants, hats, mittens, etc.) you don’t need anymore, by donating it to the drive, you will be the reason someone is able to spend the season warm, cozy and happy.

We’re looking for washable items only.

If you’re interested, send your donation to the Lindsay Dry Cleaners at 211 Kent St. W. in Lindsay, between Monday, September 18th, and Friday, September 22nd, between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on those days.

In addition, there will be food banks across Kawartha Lakes that will be opening their doors to receive donations on their own times. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at BGC Kawarthas to keep up with dates as we announce them. You can also contact the Kawartha Lakes Food Source at 705-324-0707.

The donations will then be available at our building, at 107 Lindsay St. S, Lindsay, starting Tuesday, October 10th, for the public, while supplies last.

We thank you for your support! If you have more questions, call or message Laurie Bastin at 705-324-4493 ext. 236 or L.Bastin@bgckawarthas.com
