The 28th Annual Dream Ball returns to Lindsay’s Victoria Park Armoury on November 19th to raise money to support camp programs for kids in the Kawartha Lakes.
For its return to the original format with dinner, dancing, live, silent & online auctions, the Dream Ball Committee has chosen Alice in Wonderland as the theme:
Step through the Looking Glass with us into a world of fantasy and an evening of make-believe!
Whether new to the Dream Ball, or a first-time attendee, we’re confident everyone will welcome the fabulous dinner, auctions, and an amazing band that will set the dance floor on fire.
Proceeds from the Dream Ball will go to the summer camp funds at BGC Kawarthas Foundation and the Kawartha-Haliburton Children's Foundation (KHCF). The dollars are used to subsidize summer camp experiences for children and youth.
The Dream Ball Committee is looking for volunteers to help bring Wonderland to life. Anyone interested in working with the decorating committee should contact Laurie Richards at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Kelli Mitchell Fund was established in 1997 in memory of a special little girl who had a love for the outdoors and helping other children. Kelli had been a regular participant in the Summer Camp Program at BGC Kawarthas. The Mitchell family wanted to ensure all kids have the opportunity to participate in summer camp. Attending camp with all of its challenges, experiences and skill based learning has a positive impact on children’s development. Children who attend camp develop social skills, grow emotionally, become more self-confident, gain physical skills and learn more about their environment. Children make friendships that can turn into lasting relationships. They can develop leadership skills and learn to work together as a group. They have an opportunity to try new things that they would not access at school. With the support of generous donors and now the proceeds of the Dream Ball, the Club can guarantee that no child will ever be denied access to summer camp due to financial difficulties.
Dream Ball Committee also invites you if you are unable to attend the event to make a donation in lieu of your normal contributions and ticket purchases and to participate in the online auction.
