We currently serve over 400 unique youth between the ages of 12 – 25 in Lindsay at the Youth Warehouse, serving all 4 area high school populations. In collaboration with partners in the community, including the Kawartha Works Community Co-operative (KWCC), we have now expanded similar programming to Fenelon Falls.
We now offer after-school programming for youth aged 12-17 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 – 6 p.m. at 30 Colborne St. Our Fenelon Falls club is now known as The Loft!
Who do we serve?
Youth who reside in Fenelon Falls and the surrounding areas (the Northern portion of CKL)

Anticipated Youth Outcomes:
The expected outcomes for youth with expanded youth services through BGC Kawarthas would be:
- Youth and their families are more connected to their community.
- Youth risk factors are reduced as they have access to a safe place more often, and protective factors are increased as they have opportunity to connect with caring adults and engage positively with their peers.
- Youth are connected to relevant and beneficial services.
- Improved life skills and executive functioning skills.
- Improved wellness as youth have increased access to physical recreation, health food, and through workshops they learn the negative effects of vaping, substance use and gambling addiction.
- Enhanced academic outcomes, improved physical health, and reduction of anti-social behaviours, alcohol, drug consumption, and rates of addiction.
- Overall, improved service delivery for diverse youth.
- Increased engagement of youth and participation in decisions impacting them.
How can you help?
BGC Kawarthas Foundation is always raising money to support the growth of youth services, including the new Fenelon Falls after-school program, The Loft. Fundraising and grants are needed to cover operating expenses. Youth will not pay to attend drop-in.
