MUSIC MAKERS

A 10-week course introducing participants to the fundamentals of recording and mixing music!

Participants will gain the skills necessary to record and enhance their own original music as well as mix music provided by other musicians. Topics will include recording setup, DAW basics, compression, EQ, editing and organizing audio files, general effects and more. No experience needed! (THERE WILL BE A 1-WEEK BREAK FOR MARCH BREAK)

STARTING: Wednesday February 21st, 2024

WHERE: The Warehouse Youth Centre at BGC Kawarthas

WHO: This Program is for students in the Kawartha Lakes ages 12-18 (Grades 7-12)

COST: $150.00 (Financial Assistance available)

LESSON CENTRE

One-on-one beginner music lessons!

We offer weekly beginner lessons in Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Drums, Songwriting and Production. Email today to schedule!

WHERE: BGC Kawarthas.

WHEN: Tuesdays from 4- 5 pm.

WHO: Ages 7 – 18.

COST: $20.00 per half-hour lesson.

Virtual Production

A 10-week program centred around production and beat making.

Participants will spend one hour each week on a one-on-one Zoom call getting instruction tailored to their experience level and specific interests. Due to the nature of this program’s funding, this program will take place virtually, via Zoom. Participants will learn the ins-and-outs of recording software, how to make beats, score video, and how to share these songs effectively online. 

STARTING: Enroll anytime!

WHERE: Virtual, via Zoom meetings.

WHEN: You choose a weekly one-hour slot with our Music Supervisor, Warren Frank.

WHO: This program is intended for students in the Kawartha Lakes ages 14 – 24.

COST: $75.00 (Financial Assistance available)
