Welcome to the BGC Kawarthas Peterborough Summer Camps.

With over 50 years’ experience offering camps we are excited to expand our program with our most exciting Camp Programs in one camp for families of Peterborough! Our camps provide a variety of programming that include daily and weekly opportunities to participate in – Sports & Recreation, Technology, Nutritional programs, Arts as well as exciting educational programs!

Baseball Camp

July 2-5 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

It’s time to step to the plate and become a five-tool player. Our Baseball Camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills to playing baseball through individual, small group and team activities. This camp will include skill development, games, and daily one hour swim lessons. All levels of experience are welcome.

Kid Tech Nation

July 8-12 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

Kids Tech Nation teaches children digital skills, coding concepts, internet safety, computational thinking, and robotics. The program also focuses on engaging young people in technology that may not have otherwise been exposed to Science Technology Engineering Math (S.T.E.M.) fields. Campers will have the opportunity to learn circuitry with  MAKEY MAKEY as well as Wo nder and Mindstorm robots.

Makey Makey  – Makey Makey is an invention kit for the 21st century. Turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet. It’s a simple Invention Kit for Beginners and Experts doing art, engineering, and everything in-between.

Scratch – Scratch programming allows your child to program their own interactive stories, games, animations and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.

Lego Mindstorms Robotics – LEGO MINDSTORMS® EV3! LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 gives you the power to create and command your own robotic LEGO creatures, vehicles, machines and inventions! By combining LEGO® elements with a programmable brick, motors and sensors, you can make your creations walk, talk, grab, think, shoot and do almost anything you can imagine!

Soccer Camp

July 15-19 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

We are excited to offer our Soccer Camp this summer. This program will include outdoor soccer skills and game, plus our new Fusal indoor soccer.   Campers will have the opportunity to develop ball control, shooting, passing and goaltending skills through activities and small area games.   Each day, campers will have the chance to learn skills and apply those skills in game-like situations facilitated by instructors who support all skill levels.

Kid Food Nation

July 22-26 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

Kids Food Nation helps kids develop food skills through hands-on experiences related to planning, preparing, and cooking.  The program also features an online hub with resources for healthy eating and meal preparation, and a national recipe competition that encourages kids to put their food literacy skills into practice and submit original, healthy, and nutritious recipes.

Dance Camp

July 29-August 2 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

Spend an exciting week learning from a variety of great dance instructors from the community.  Campers will learn the latest moves in Jazz, ballet, contemporary and hip hop.  Dancers will become choreographers and performers as you prepared for our exciting family recital at the end of the week.  All levels of experience are welcome.

Art Camp

August 6-9 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

Art Camp provides a unique opportunity to try different types of art in a fun and creative way. Campers will use their imagination and creativity while utilizing paint, fabric, sketching, collaging, photography, and crafting skills. Campers will display their art at the week-end Art Show and will take home their designs to keep.

Basketball Camp

August 12-16 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

Our Basketball Camp will provide your child with the chance to learn from local coaches and athletes. Campers will be able to practice their skills through drills, activities, and small area games. Campers will develop their shooting, passing, dribbling and game strategies. Campers will have the opportunity to showcase the skills they have developed at the end of the week.

Music Camp

August 19-23 / Ages 7-12 yrs.

Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? Write lyrics? Our first-ever music camp will provide you with the opportunity to learn from artists like Warren Frank of the bands The Kents and Heaps. BGC Music Camp will provide opportunities to learn instruments, prepare and perform lyrics using our state-of-the-art recording studio. We can provide the instruments and all you need to have an incredible music experience.

Fees

$172.50/ Week 

Weekly Registration is Required.
Full payment is required upon registration.
Financial Assistance is available to ensure that no child is turned away.

Affordable and Accessible

The Club strives to work with families, and partners to offer accessible and barrier free services. Fees are affordable and financial support is available when needed. Programs and services are open to all regardless of race, religion, social or economic status.

Refunds and Cancellations

Registration or cancellation must be completed by noon the Friday prior to service. This provides us the time to reach out to waiting list to take your spot or adjust staffing based on ratios.

Refunds are subject to 15% administration fee.

Each participant will require a full registration package and waivers (links below) completed in order to register for Camp.  Please contact our main office at (705)-324-4493 or e-mail info@bgckl.com if you have any questions on which forms/waivers are required or the registration process

If you have a current account with the Club and have not accessed the online portal please contact the office for support. You will need to ensure the Club has your current email address in the system for you to access your account online.

Fee Subsidy

Contact or visit the Club if you are in need of financial assistance for any of our programs, services, or memberships. You may qualify for a child care subsidy through the City of Kawartha Lakes for Summer Camp programming.
