Inclusion Support

The Inclusion Support Program is a Ministry of Health funded program that provides support to children, youth and families needing help with navigating and/or participating in Club programs.

The Inclusion Support Worker is responsible for the Enhanced Staffing Program. Enhanced and respite staff are meant to help children with developmental, physical or behavioural needs integrate successfully into Club programs. 

The Inclusion Support Worker is also responsible to assist children, families and youth with program navigation and service coordination when they need assistance accessing Club programs and services. 

Who is Eligible?

The Inclusion Support program is designed to assist children, youth and families.

Children and youth enrolled or interested in attending Club programs within Kawartha Lakes, who have developmental, physical or behavioural needs may be eligible for enhanced or respite support. 

Children, youth and families looking for help with navigating or accessing Club programs and services in Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough and Norwood are eligible for inclusion support. 

Referral & Process

Referrals are typically made internally upon registration. Families can indicate at time of registration that they would like to learn more about enhanced staff support for their child.

What is the Purpose of Inclusion Support?

The Inclusion support program is designed to minimize barriers for children, youth and families accessing services. The Inclusion support worker can help families navigate internal services, connect with external services and organize support for children and youth attending Club programs.
