Important Program Update: Queer Youth Kawartha Lakes
We want to share an important update with our participants, families, and community.
After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily cancel the Queer Youth Kawartha Lakes program.
Over the past several months, attendance has been very limited. Unfortunately, with such low participation numbers, we are unable to run the program in a way that allows it to reach its full potential. Without consistent attendance, it becomes challenging to create the safe, engaging, and vibrant space that this program was designed to provide.
During this pause, we will be taking time to reflect, re-evaluate, and re-vamp the program. This will allow us to explore what changes may be needed and how we can better support and engage queer youth in our community moving forward.
Our hope is to re-launch the Queer Youth Kawartha Lakes program in the fall of 2026 with renewed energy, updated programming, and stronger community connections.
We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support we have received from the community and from fellow 2SLGBTQIA+ organizations. Your encouragement, collaboration, and advocacy continue to mean so much to us.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we work toward building a stronger and more sustainable program for the future.
