Monday – Friday 2:30pm-6:00pm

Dinner : Mondays for the month of Sept and starts 5 days a week come October

Thank you to the City of Kawartha Lakes for providing BGC Kawarthas with an operating grant from the 2024 operating budget to expand on the drop in program at the Warehouse.

Drop In Structured Program 3:30pm-4:30pm

Everyday 3:30pm-4:30pm there are structured programing that is optional for youth to patriciate in at the Warehouse.

Music Monday

The goal of Music Monday is to foster a love and appreciation for music, as well as provide a creative outlet for young people to express themselves.

Music Monday will feature various activities and opportunity to learn about different genres of music, as well as the history and cultural significance of various musical styles. In addition to educational activities, Music Monday will also include fun and interactive elements such as karaoke competitions and music trivia. 

Overall, Music Monday aims to inspire, educate, and empower young people through the power of music. By providing a platform for creativity and self-expression, Music Monday will help youth develop a lifelong love for music.

Taste Test Tuesday

Taste Test Tuesday is a fun and interactive program that introduces youth to new foods and flavors through engaging taste testing activities. Each week, participants will have the opportunity to try out different dishes, snacks, and beverages in a playful and innovative way.

The goal of Taste Test Tuesday is to expand young people’s palates, encourage them to be adventurous with their food choices, and promote healthy eating habits. By making the tasting experience enjoyable and interactive, the program aims to help youth develop a positive relationship with food and a willingness to try new things.

During Taste Test Tuesday sessions, participants may engage in blind taste tests where they have to guess the ingredients or flavors of a dish, participate in food trivia games to learn more about different cuisines, or even compete in cooking challenges to create their own unique dishes.

Overall, Taste Test Tuesday aims to make the experience of trying new foods exciting and enjoyable for youth. By engaging their senses and creativity, the program encourages young people to be open-minded about food and explore the diverse world of flavors and cuisines.

Workout Wednesday

Fitness Centre will be open for youth to drop in and workout. Must have PAR-Q and General Services Waiver completed.

Thrifty Thursday

Thrifty Thursday is a program designed to inspire creativity and resourcefulness in youth by providing opportunities to engage in thrifty crafts. Participants will have the chance to explore their artistic side while also learning about the importance of sustainability.

The goal of Thrifty Thursday is to encourage young people to think creatively and innovatively about how they can transform everyday items into something beautiful and useful. By emphasizing the value of reusing and repurposing materials, the program aims to promote sustainable practices. Participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills, connect with their peers, and express themselves through art and creativity.

Overall, Thrifty Thursday provides a fun and engaging platform for youth to explore their thrifty side, unleash their creativity, and make a positive impact on the environment. Join us for freestyle Friday, games or fitness. It may change each week.

Youth do not need to register in advance. Youth can show up and participate.

NEW Youth must complete a Youth Registration Form upon their first night, prior to entering the Youth Warehouse.
